CCU is based out of Marengo, Ohio.

At CCU we don’t care for just dogs and cats. We take care of domestics, birds, reptiles, farm animals, exotics and more. We offer drop-in visits, dog walking, in-home sleepovers, overnight stays in your home, pet taxi, park & play, adventure hikes, complimentary services, and specialized pet care.

We do not offer discounts as we provide equal opportunity to all our customers regardless of the number of scheduled visits.

The earliest time we will come for a drop-in visit is 6am, the latest time we will come for a drop-in visit is 9pm.

If the cost of services requested works within your budget, then the next step is to schedule a complimentary meet and greet. We schedule a time that works best for you to get to know your pets and their routine. The meet and greet allows us to make sure we are a good fit and allows each of us to ask questions. If the meet and greet is a success, then the next step is to fill out the required forms. To ensure there is time to meet and fill out the required forms we recommend reaching out at your earliest convenience to allow time for this process as our forms are very detailed and our schedule fills up quickly.

For all clients, a 25% deposit of the total bill is required to book dates requested. For overnight stays a 50% non-refundable deposit is required to secure dates. We cannot secure the date of service requests until a deposit is made. If a deposit is not made, then services will go by first come, first serve. We will not hold dates without a deposit. We will attempt to notify clients 24hrs prior to accepting another client for the wanted dates. The remaining balance will be due in full the Sunday before the start of service. Payments may be made via Cash, Check, Zelle or Venmo. There is a 2% processing fee for Venmo and a $35 NSF charge on all returned checks.

Drop-in visit cancelations made 7 days prior, will have no charge. 5-6 days, 25% of the total invoice for scheduled pet care is due. 3-4 days, 50% of the total invoice is due. 1-2 days, 75% of the total invoice is due.

For overnight stays we require a minimum of 30-day cancelation notice. For all overnights canceled inside the 30-day period or any overnights scheduled during the above listed holiday periods, payment in full will be charged.

We do not refund or credit for late departures or early returns home.

We know things happen but please understand we have a strict cancelation policy. CCU is a solo run business. We provide high-level care for your pet and/or home with professionalism and attention to detail. In return, we ask for a high-level of commitment from clients to protect our time by not canceling services and requesting a refund after allotted time has been reserved.

We have a 10 mile travel radius. Anything outside of that is subject to a $2 per mile travel fee.

For drop-in visits, when a requested date falls on a holiday a $15 fee will be added to each visit, in addition to the base rate quoted. For overnight stays, a $50 holiday fee will be added. For in-home sleepovers a $25 holiday fee will be added. Holiday pay will only be applied to the recognized holiday itself, not the entire holiday week.

​Major holidays include, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Years Eve, Easter, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day and Thanksgiving.

We ask that your pet(s) be seen annually to keep them happy, and healthy! This includes being vaccinated and, on a flea and tick preventative regardless, whether they board with us or stay in the comfort of their own home. In order to participate in our in-home sleepovers we require that your pet(s) have a negative stool sample, and be up to date on their vaccinations. We do require proof of vaccinations or we will call your vet to verify. Vaccinations include; Rabies, Distemper, Bordetella, Canine Influenza, and Leptospirosis.
